Children’s Hospital Colorado Sports Medicine Center and Highlands Ranch Aquatics Club (HRA), a USA-Swimming Club Team, recently partnered to promote health and wellness within the club. Children’s Colorado will provide an athletic trainer to the club for home meets during the winter and summer seasons.
Children’s Colorado will also offer educational content for HRA newsletters through social media properties and via the Parents’ Corner on the HRA website. This content will inform members about the latest trends and treatments.
Thriving off community-based support
“At Children’s Colorado, our fully-integrated team of sports medicine doctors, athletic trainers, physical therapists, dietitians and specialists delivers care geared exclusively to growing bodies,” said Christy Dobson, executive director of Corporate and Community Relations at Children’s Colorado. “We thrive off our active community-based support by staffing certified athletic trainers and partnering with youth sports organizations like Highlands Ranch Aquatics Swimming Club.”
Athletes are guided from aspiration to achievement
“Our mission at HRA is to develop the individual athlete within a team-oriented structure,” said Highlands Ranch Aquatics Club Head Coach Jim Bocci. “We are proud to offer a safe, positive, and challenging learning environment where each athlete is guided from aspiration to achievement. We are excited to have Children’s Colorado as a partner and our athletes will greatly benefit from this additional support.”
