Children’s Colorado has been named one of the 20 “Most Innovative Children’s Hospitals” by Parents magazine, based on the results of a recent survey by the publication. The survey, sent to members of the Children’s Hospital Association, sought to identify hospitals with a proven track record of innovation that has led to medical advances. The survey also considered a hospital’s adoption of the latest technologies and its efforts to share its innovations with other pediatric hospitals so more kids can benefit.
Advances have made procedures more comfortable for kids
“Children’s Hospital Colorado boasts a prolific Center for Innovation that has investigated more than 150 ideas since it was established two years ago,” says Liz Vaccariello, Editor in Chief of Parents magazine. “We were especially impressed with the hospital’s new technologies that have made certain medical tests more comfortable for kids.”
Parents developed the exclusive survey with key advisors and sampled 162 children’s hospitals in the U.S. to learn about their innovations in various specialties, as well as research, patents and partnerships.
This recognition is a testament to Children's Colorado's capabilities
“At Children's Colorado, we see more, treat more and heal more kids than any hospital in our seven-state region,” said Jena Hausmann, President and CEO of Children’s Colorado. “We are at the forefront of research in childhood disease with several nationally and internationally recognized medical and surgical programs. We are always striving to find new and better ways to treat and cure kids. Being recognized by Parents magazine is a testament to our talented pediatric specialists, who this past year cared for kids from all 50 states and more than 35 countries.”
The Most Innovative Children’s Hospitals appears in the October issue of Parents.
