Finding easy-to-understand, reliable information about your child’s medical condition can be overwhelming. Fortunately, the library is a wonderful place to find materials that come from trusted medical sources.

The Family Health Library is designed especially for patients and their families. Staffed by a professional librarian, we have a large collection of books on health-related information, parenting, learning disorders as well as behavioral and developmental issues. The library also provides a comfortable place where families can learn more about their child’s health, borrow books, use a computer or just relax.

Library services include:

  • Professional librarian
  • Information from trusted medical sources that are customized for your child’s specific needs
  • Books on health and parenting written in easy to understand English
  • Age appropriate books for children and teens to learn about their health problems
  • Fun books and magazines for all ages
  • Computers with Internet access and free printing
  • Free photocopying, scanning and faxing

Library hours and information:

The Family Health Library is open to the public—you do not need to have a child as a Children’s Colorado patient for you to use our facilities. However, if your child is in inpatient, we will deliver the information to your room, usually on the same day you request it. We can also mail or email information you’ve requested.


Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. We are closed on the weekends.
